How long have you been in the business?
About 3 years

What made you want to get into the business?
I've always been a fan of professional wrestling, and after leaving the game of football, I thought I would like to give it a shot.

Where did you learn to wrestle?
Bodyslam University out of Fort Wayne, IN. Owned by Jayson Maples and trained by Steve Wilson aka Osyris aka Kongo Kong

Why do you want to be a wrestler?
I love the ability to connect with the crowd. Football was great for the athletic aspect but you're so removed from the fans. In wrestling I get to interact and play off of them. Not to mention those special moments where you get to meet those fans that really are into you as a performer. That's always really cool to be able to shoot the breeze with people that follow your career closely.
What are your signature moves?
The Samoan Drop (how can it not be); T-Bone Suplex; and a plethora of kicks and knees.
What are your finishers?
Currently using a move that's very similiar to the Codebreaker. It never really had a name until the last year. I just refer to it as Facial Reconstruciton. Its a work in progress haha. The other move I've been using is the Superkick. I know, I know. Everyone does the Superkick. I like to think that I can start making it more than just a regular move though. Back to the days where it just about put anyone down for the three count.
What promotions have you wrestled for?
Strong Style Wrestling, Heroes & Legends Wrestling, Funkdafied Wrestling, SmashMouth Pro Wrestling, Revolution Championship Wrestling, New Era Wrestling, Pro Wrestling King, NWA- Circle City Wrestling, Emerge Wrestling, 4th Wall Wrestling, and NAPW. I'm sure I've missed some in this list, my bad.

What injuries have you sustained so far?
Knock on wood, I haven't sustained anything serious yet. I've had my ribs bruised, along with some sprains, but nothing serious. I plan on keeping it that way.
Are you mainly considered a face or a heel?
I would be considered a babyface. My first show I was ever on I worked as a heel. The senior referee after the match came up to me and told me I better get use to working as a face beacuse I was too pretty to be a heel haha. I like to think I blur the lines a bit though as far as the classic babyface and heel tendencies. I like to just be me. Most of the time I'm pretty okay guy. Other times, if the situation calls for it, I'm aggressive and a little crazy but who isn't?

Who are the indy wrestlers you look up to?
Well first on this list would have to be Kongo Kong. The man molded me into what I am today. He also has increased his value in the business on his own terms by his own rules. Now look at the guy! He's pretty much been all over this hemisphere, he's wrestled the best in this business, and he still is getting noticed by people all over the world. After him there's plenty of guys out there doing big things and having 5-star matches. Guys like Ricochet, Matt Cross, Chris Hero, Zach Sabre Jr. Sami Callihan, The Young Bucks are all big names you hear about on the regular. Obviously the goal is to get their level and I use them to gauge my goals. There's some guys that I run into regulary that I look up to and they've provided some insight an guidance in my short time in the business. Jack Thriller, Hillbilly Jedd aka JD Mariani, Rod Street, Nick Cutler, Dru Skillz, and Apollo Starr to name a few.

What are your favorite promotions to work for?
Any that bring me in! I just like to wrestle.

What style do you do?
I honestly like to incorprate alot of different styles. A little bit of brawling mixed with some technical aspects. Sprinkle a bit of some old school high flying in the way of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat or Jimmy Snuka.
Tell us about your first match.
My very first match was at a promotion in Shelbyville, IN called New Era Wrestling. It was a handicap tag match. Myself, Brian Defiance, CJ Mac, and Matt O'Hare against the team of Hillbilly Jedd, Osyris, and a wrestler named Mouse. I was ridiculously nervous that day. It was definitely alot different wrestling in front of people in basically your underwear than playing football. I had always envisioned myself to be babyface with an attittude ala a Dolph Ziggler, Shawn Michaels, etc, but this time around my partners and I were going to be the heels. Nervous or not I knew that one of the best things to do was to get under the skin of the fans.
I had picked on some fans earlier in the night during a battle royal but I knew I would have to up my game. Not exactly confident in my moveset, I decided to use the gift of gab to get my heat. It was a pretty easy match looking back. If I wasn't in the ring, I was jaw-jacking back and forth with fans. I stomped, punched, kicked, and then tagged out most of the time. I was eliminated from the match by the way of a "Last Ride" powerbomb, which I was not expecting. O (Osyris), surprised me with that instead of the chokeslam. Talk about terrifying, but hey I'm still alive and the crowd loved it. When the match was over and I got to the back I was stoked. All the training and time devoted to wrestling had finally come to head. I definitely knew after that match I had made the right decision to get involved in the wrestling world.

Tell us about your most memorable match.
My most memorable match was probably my Last Man Standing Match from a Strong Style Wrestling event against a one Alexander S. Kirk. Not only was this match a blow off match for our feud over my wrestling girlfriend (now real-life fiancee) but it was really my first "gimmick" match. Alexander S. Kirk and I trained together and being able to tell a great story with someone you know really well in the ring is always a cool thing.

What Do Your Friends and Family Think About You Wrestling?
They bring their families to shows and buy t-shirts, the whole deal. The two friends who I've known the longest, Justin and Roman, were watching wrestling with me back in middle school. They know how big of a fan I was as a kid, so I'm sure it makes sense to them that I decided to be a part of professional wrestling.
My family is very supportive. They make it to shows that are close to home and help watch my daughter when I have shows. Most of my Samoan family live out in Salt Lake City, UT and they are always asking for updates, links to matches, buying t-shirts from my www.prowrestlingtees.com store. Everyone is very supportive.

How far do you want to take your wrestling career?
As far as it can go honestly. In a perfect world I would love to travel the globe for wrestling. Live the dream, you know? Quit my regular 9-5 job and be able to provide comfortably for my family.

If you could change anything about indy wrestling?
Unfortunately, the wrestling business is oversaturated. Too many people opening up schools and training that are half-trained. I wish that wouldn't happen, especially in today's day and age. Sometimes wrestling resembles a high school environment as well. That can really hurt guys in the locker room as well as the fans if it gets out. I always like to say that the professional wrestling is a business. We should treat it as such. Successful businesses today have a formula for that success. Pro wrestling can learn a thing or two from those formulas. Slowly but surely you're seeing that start to happen.

Complete the following sentence: If I don't make it to the WWE, I'll...
If I don't make it to the WWE, I'll be happy that I still was able to be a part of the world of wrestling. Hopefully I will have left a mark on the business.

And one more sentence: If I wasn't a wrestler, I would be...
I would be a dad and husband, which I am now. I'd probably still be playing football though. I don't think I ever want to stop being an athlete.
